U-PICK + OPEN FARM
Our last Open Farm + U-PICK is this Saturday 9/26!
(Homeschool Open Farm + U-PICK Tickets available below..)
We'd love to have you out to the farm! For just $20 you will receive a tour of the farm, learn the names of the flowers for cutting, a pair of shears and a jar to take your bouquet home. I like to share design ideas but it's also exciting to see where everyone goes with their own design and what flowers they are drawn to. I accept cash, cashapp and venmo the day of and no appointment is necessary!
*Weather + life permitting (I will announce cancellations via social media)
Over a decade ago I discovered the power of flowers in my hands working for a small, mostly- wedding design flower shop in the suburbs of Chicago. My work took me from lavish orchid installs at Chicago hotels to farm fresh flowers placed on vintage tablecloths in Detroit.
Along the way I chose floral practices that better aligned with my values. The blooms I use for design work are also grown by me. Always conscious of our environmental impact, we use sustainable growing methods and zero-waste design: no plastics, micro-plastics or sprays. My designs often feature mindfully foraged greens and filler from our wild forest-yard. There's a lot of magic growing here.
I am delighted to source flowers from local South East Michigan growers through the Michigan Grower’s Cooperative in Ypsilanti, MI.
I am grateful to break free of the flower shop box to honor my creativity. I’m inspired by the natural world, color obsessed, love whimsy and wild, movement and texture as well as the intricate details.
